Im new to wrapping and i've just been messing around making whatever. But i'm just wondering if there's any advice anyone could give me to help me to better my wraps, like what size wires people use, or where to start a wrap. Anything would help.

Hi there!
For me, 18ga and 20ga are more suited for wire wrapping. You can bend and wrap them more easily. Start on the ends and work your way up. When I wrap I use my left hand to control the wrapping speed or the turning while I use my right hand to hold the pliers steadily.
Here's a video that you can try on for starters. http://www.diylessons.o...Make-Wire-Wrapped-Rings name,101529,item_id,2,ad_type,ad_details
Hope that helps.

There are alot of tutorials out there on the web. I have found some good ones (and some free ones) at http://www.jewelrylessons.com/
keep practicing and looking at pictures of other artists and eventually you will find your own style
